“It is sometimes a mistake to climb; it is always a mistake never even to make the attempt. If you do not climb, you will not fall- this is true. But is it that bad to fail, that hard to fall?”-{Neil Gaiman}

From a subjective point of view, Failure is not the opposite of success. It is the stepping stone and an integral part of success. We can learn so much from failure than we may learn from success.

When George Tawlon Manneh Oppong Ousman Weah decided to contest, contested and lost the Liberian national elections in 2005, many opposers and critics hurled out negative criticisms about his lack of proper formal education. The truth however was that, he lacked the requisite formal education. He did not even have a High School Certificate though he could speak various recognized languages including French, English, Italian, to mention but a few.

The most important thing was the fact that this iconic man was relentless, willing and ready to confront and correct any hiccups and challenges that might have been the reason for his downfall. He worked hard, forgetting about his critics, to obtain a High School diploma<SHS> at age 40, went on to DeVry University in Florida, where he obtained his bachelor and master’s degree in business management and public administration respectively at age 46.

Today, the 1995 World Footballer of the year and Ballon d’Or winner, the only African to still hold that accolade, is the President-elect of the republic of Liberia. Nothing is truly impossible in this world. It all depends on your determination to make good use of your today<present> to influence your tomorrow<future>!

“Behold how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity.”-[psalm 133:1]

 We live in a world operated by the principle “Each one for himself”, a world where there is no synergy and flow between family and friends, a world where we take pleasure in the downfall of others, a world where we only think we are succeeding when we see others falling and failing.

There is absolutely no true gain when we live our lives competing against each other and trying to outshine each other.There is no true profit in trying to blow out the candles of others thinking it will make yours shine better and brighter. We should learn to stand together, live together and be one another’s keeper!

#together is always better#
